Hello to all our members, players, family and friends.
We're halfway through a unseasonably (and unreasonably!) damp July but hopefully you are finding ways to keep the kids busy and managing to find time to relax.
We, the club executive, are reaching out to all our Garda Westmanstown Gaels community to introduce our HELPING HANDS campaign.
What is HELPING HANDS?
Quite simply, we are looking for a helping hand from as many of you as possible.
Our club is built on a foundation of participation and enjoyment of Gaelic games, and with the generous support and dedication of our members.
This dedication can be found in the beautiful pitches and grounds which are looked after by our great facilities team. It can also be found in the tireless coaches and mentors who, each week, give hours of their time to train our teams, and these players who, in turn, coach our youngest players in the Nursery. It can be found in the support from our sponsors; be it the ball wall, the pitch hoardings, the sponsored jerseys and the training kit. It can be found in all those who have stood on a rainy sideline to cheer on our teams.
Anywhere you look in Westmanstown, you will find examples of where members of our community have given over their time to make a difference.
As the saying goes 'Many hands make light work' we need everyone to come forward with their feedback on how they can help.
We are looking for 5 minutes of your time to complete our Garda Westmanstown Gaels HELPING HANDS questionnaire. CLICK HERE
When we return to games after the summer break we want to be able to form a plan to create the best club we can for our current and future teams, this can only be achieved through the combined efforts of the whole Gaels community. Maybe you have 'a particular set of skills' or can spare a few minutes each week to wash bibs, or jerseys.
If we could ask that you take time today, tomorrow or during the next week to complete the questionnaire, it would be much appreciated.
Kind regards,
The Club Executive Committee.
