U15 boys had their first Féile league match today v Templeogue Synge Street.
Unfortunately, it wasn't to be for the Westmanstown lads today who gave everything and played some great football but just couldn't put the ball in the back of the net despite numerous clear cut goal chances.
In fairness to the Templeogue lads they were much more clinical in front of goal, scoring three goals in each half, including one with the last kick of the ball in the first half, which was a killer blow to the GWG lads.
To go into half-time training on the scoreboard despite it being a half in which we were totally dominant was very unlucky.
The lads fought hard in the second half and really gave everything to make the breakthrough and get that vital first goal but no matter what we did the home team always managed to get back and get an arm, a leg, a knee or a head in the way to stop the ball crossing the line.
The lads can be very proud of their efforts today, they gave everything in a match that the final score is not an accurate reflection on the match.
Onwards we march, Gaels Abú!
