U15 Boys Hurling Challenge
WMT 4-10 Raheny 0-07
U15 boys played their first match of 2023 today in Beechpark. The opponents from Raheny put up a tough challenge for the lads as they play in a division above the home team.
In what were not optimal conditions for hurling both sides put in a great performance. The difference between the teams came in scoring accuracy in a first half where the home team did not put a single ball wide.
Aidan Doyle on the frees put everything over the black spot and Eoin Murphy was on fire in the full forward position.
The most impressive thing from the home team was the tigerish defending. The visitors didn't get a second to settle on the ball with a defensive line lead by full back Luke Birmingham who cleared almost everything in a rock solid performance.
The midfield had a new partnership in midfield of Sean O Brien and Senan Farrell, who were on top for the whole game and provided the platform for the attack to flourish.
All 23 players on the day really put on a great show for our first outing of the season onward and upwards
