U16 Boys B Championship football match v St Pats Donabate played on Saturday 8th October 2022 at Westmantown.

This was a group decider and our lads took time to adjust to defensive set up by St Pats and trailed by 0-5 to 0-1 after 15mins.

Our boys began to figure out the defensive set by St Pats and WMT led at halftime by 0-6 to 0-5. The second half continued to be a tight affair but eventually WMT pulled 4 points clear but St. Pats never gave up and brought it back to 2 points and despite a few nervous moments WMT held on to win 0-12 to St Pats 0-10.

Great credit to our lads for figuring out St Pats defensive set up and having the determination to slug it out and grind out the win.

The win means WMT finished top of the group and now await the draw to see who we play next.

Again every player showed great effort but Luke Mooney, Will Hemercyk, Rian Doherty and Shane Wallace showed great composure when it was required.
