Garda Westmanstown Gaels Ukraine Appeal

Countless lives in Ukraine are being torn apart by violence and insecurity.

Displacement, trauma and separation from loved ones will have devastating consequences on the people of Ukraine. Please help today if you can.

Your donation will help get food, medicine, shelter and water to those affected. Your support will help the medical frontline workers and also assist those displaced by the conflict.

Ebay are generously offering to transport all items donated to GAA clubs in Dublin 15 to the Ukrainian / Polish border.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

Irish Red Cross teams are on the ground now in Ukraine and will continue their work to repair vital infrastructure, support health facilities, and help families with life-saving food and hygiene items.

Garda Westmanstown Gaels are urging all our members and their families to make a donation in the following ways:

On Saturday 26th March, from 10am until 1.30pm we will have a drop-off point on our club grounds (white cabin next to Tuck Shop)

All financial donations should be made to the Irish Red Cross Ukrainian Appeal. Online at 'donate.redcross.ie'

Garda Westmanstown Gaels want to deliver as much as possible of only the most sought after items. Due to overwhelming donations already received from Ireland, our club will NOT be collecting clothing as part of this appeal.

PLEASE DONATE THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

From talking with those on the front line providing aid, they are asking people to donate:-

• Personal hygiene products, baby nappies, wet wipes and toiletries
• Pouches of baby food (no jars please)
• Over the counter medicines are also excepted
