U8 GIRLS TURN UP THE HEAT

Today, the U8 Girls made the trip out to Round Towers in Clondalkin. The team was bolstered by a number of new girls joining the team in recent weeks and what a team it was.

The girls lined out in 2 teams of 8 against what was sure to be tough opposition. The skills on display were fabulous with great hand passing, kick outs and solos on display. The effort out in by the girls was fantastic to see.

What made the matches all the more impressive was the sheer tenacity in tackling and intensity by which the girls went about the games. The referee had a new whistle and was eager to try it out. The girls adapted their play and they were relentless.

Both teams worked as teams, helping, harassing the opposition and doing their best for each other. There was some great goals and points scored along with a few near misses.

It was a fantastic morning and plenty of smiles all round.
