We are pleased to announce that our Ladies & Men’s sections will be holding a 'Night at the Races' Race Night on Friday the 28th of March 2025 in the Main Bars in Westmanstown. The first race is at 8.30pm.
This is a great opportunity for the entire Club to come together and raise funds in support of our Ladies & Men’s sections, have a drink, get to know each other away from the pitches, and have a good night's crack. It is a complete night's entertainment featuring the race night, tote betting (enjoy a flutter @ €2 per ticket), auction race, raffle, plus live DJ and MC.
Please Support the Event:
This event is being jointly run by the adults sections of our club seeking to raise funds towards the ladies football & camogie teams, and the men's football & hurling teams. The main fundraising streams will centre on selling horse owners, jockeys, and trainers at €10 each, together with sponsorship and advertising in our 'Souvenir Colour Race Card'. All of the sponsorship and support options will be circulated separately, and equally available from the Race Night subcommittee.
Races:
There will be eleven races on the night including the auction race. Seller race cards including the details of the owners, jockeys, and trainers for the eight horses in each race will be sold. The owner gets to name the horse.
Sponsors & Adverts:
There are opportunities to become the Main Event Sponsor, Premium sponsorship, Race sponsorship (10 races), or take advertising in the souvenir race card ( full page or half page). You might be in a position in your company or business to get a sponsor/ advert. Our Race Night subcommittee has race card forms, and information including the details on the various sponsorship options. All the details are provided to the event organisers 'Race Night Services' who have a design studio to produce the Race Card for the night. The deadline for sponsors and adverts is Friday the14th of March at 5pm.
All funds raised are lodged to the club accounts. Invoices can be provided and all funds raised will be receipted by the club.
